LUIS PIÑA
Founder, Accent Commercial Real Estate
Luis Piña, born in Mexico City, Mexico, has been a Dallas resident since 1989. With more than 25 years of experience as a licensed real estate broker, Luis has built a distinguished career in commercial real estate, specializing in the redevelopment of distressed shopping centers and historic downtown properties dating back to the early 1900s.
Throughout his career, Luis has played a pivotal role in revitalizing retail corridors by attracting and securing strong anchor tenants and community-driven brands. His work includes early leasing and representation for recognized names such as La Michoacana Meat Market, Jaime Barrón, Fred Loya Insurance, and Taquerías El Paisa, helping transform underperforming properties into thriving commercial destinations.
A key component of Luis’s success is his deep understanding of multicultural retail markets across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This expertise serves as a strategic value-add for corporate clients seeking to expand into diverse and high-growth communities, providing insight into tenant mix, consumer behavior, and culturally aligned retail strategies that drive performance.
In addition to brokerage and consulting, Luis is actively involved in acquiring and repositioning investment properties. His approach is rooted in a disciplined, full-cycle strategy—acquire, reposition, stabilize, and exit—allowing him to unlock value and deliver strong returns. By focusing on underperforming assets, implementing strategic leasing, and enhancing operations, he successfully transforms properties into stabilized investments ready for disposition.
Luis provides strategic consulting services that guide clients through acquisition, redevelopment, leasing, and exit strategies. His transaction history exceeds $500 million in cumulative value, reflecting both scale and consistency. He began his career at Henry S. Miller, where he built the foundation for his success in commercial real estate.
He has represented high-net-worth individuals and businesses in complex investment transactions across Texas and nationwide, including Seattle, Washington; Virginia; California; Oklahoma; Missouri; and Mexico City.
What sets Luis apart is his boutique, hands-on approach. As the founder of Accent Commercial Real Estate, he delivers highly personalized service, leveraging his bilingual fluency in Spanish and English to bridge cultural and communication gaps—an essential advantage in today’s diverse commercial landscape.
Luis is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), staying current on industry trends in retail, redevelopment, and historic property repurposing.
